Liverpool eye move for 24-year-old winger to replace the void left by Raheem Sterling

CheryshevLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been asking for a left-winger for a while, with the wounds of Raheem Sterling’s move to Manchester City not yet healed, and it seems the club have similar ambitions.

The Reds are stated by Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb, with the reports brought to England by Metro’s Tom Olver, to be keen on Real Madrid prodigy Denis Cheryshev; a player who hasn’t got the chances he deserves in the Spanish capital.

Brendan Rodgers may see his time at Anfield ticking away but he’s said to be a big-fan of the 24-year-old, who has shown his talents on loan spells away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Cheryshev has spent the last two-years on-loan at Sevilla and Villarreal respectively, where he has impressed thoroughly; with the highlight being nine assists and six goals for the Yellow Submarines last summer (Villarreal have the best nickname ever).

Cheryshev has been at Real Madrid since 2002, joining as an 11-year-old, but the talented players at Real’s disposal have seen him struggle for first-team opportunities.
