Liverpool fans are bracing themselves in the Transfer Tavern for an exit of one of their top players, after reports this week stated Real Madrid want Alberto Moreno.
However, they’ve reacted positively to the news that Jurgen Klopp’s side are making preparations for the possibility of losing the Spaniard, as Talksport state Liverpool are eying Lorient defender Raphael Guerreiro.
Klopp is said to be a big fan of the Portuguese defender and tried to sign him previously during his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund.
With Guerreiro’s contract in France set to expire in 2017, Liverpool are stated to be preparing an offer that neither Lorient or the player would be able to turn down.
Boasting three caps for Portugal at international level, Guerreiro is seen as a top-class replacement for Moreno, should he be lured to the Spanish capital, and a deal seems to be a huge possibility for the Reds.
Fans in the bar would prefer to see Moreno remain at Anfield but can’t fault his ambitions to play for Real Madrid and they believe the replacement Klopp has lined-up would be a decent addition.
Liverpool fans, will Alberto Moreno leave in January? Let us know in the comments below!
