Liverpool eyeing shock move to snatch Chelsea outcast

MarinLiverpool and Chelsea fans alike in the Transfer Tavern can’t quite believe what they’re hearing and it’s not a reference to their mate on the karaoke machine murdering an 80’s classic.

FootyLatest sensationally claim Liverpool are eying a move for Chelsea’s forgotten man Marko Marin, who’s currently on-loan with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.

The German midfielder, now 26, has accumulated just six Premier League appearances during a four-year stint with Chelsea and he’s spent the majority of his time on-loan; with spells with Sevilla, Fiorentina, Anderlecht and Trabzonspor- none of which have been successful.

Marin is likely to finally leave Chelsea on a permanent basis this summer and Liverpool are, somewhat remarkably, interested in his services.

The German previously impressed with Bundesliga sides Borussia Monchengladbach and Werder Bremen before his ill-fated spell with Chelsea and that may be why Jurgen Klopp is keen on his services- plus the fact that he’d be available for a bargain price.

With just two goals in 41 league appearances in the past four years though, our landlord is questioning why on earth Liverpool would be tempted by this player’s availability.
