Liverpool have stunned us at Football Transfer Tavern by showing an interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez according to the Daily Mirror.
Tevez is reportedly adamant on leaving City with Italian giants and league holders Juventus in talks with the Argentinean over a move to the Old Lady.
The former Manchester United striker has finally settled into life in England and so could opt to stay in the Premier League if City decided to sell.
With a new manager and new signings already through the door at the Etihad Stadium, it appears there will be plenty of change in East Manchester this summer and Tevez could be one of a number of star names to exit the club.
Liverpool are desperate to land a new star striker after Luis Suarez revealed he wants to leave Anfield and England after feeling targeted by the press.
Reds supporters would seem to be happy with swapping one south American for another but Tevez’s £200,000-a-week wages could prove an issue.
Can Liverpool lure Tevez to Anfield despite the lack of Champions League football? Rate this rumour below.
