Many Liverpool fans have flocked to the club's tweet about former ace Daniel Agger.

The club's tweet involved Daniel Agger and it said that the 12th of January 2021 marks 15 years since the former defender arrived at Anfield back in 2006. The tweet also described the Dane asa 'fan favourite' for the Reds and it carried an image of him donning a Liverpool shirt.

Agger joined the Reds from Brondby in 2006 and after about eight years at Anfield, he returned to his childhood club for a fee of only £3.6m (As per Transfermarkt).

The defender made as many as 232 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool and even scored 14 goals while picking up nine assists for the Reds. For the Danish national team, Agger played 75 times and he had scored 12 times for them too.

Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers praised Agger in the past, describing him to be an 'excellent' player. The former manager said:

"He's an excellent player, an international captain and he's had a very good career at Liverpool."

The club's tweet about the Danish defender caught the attention of many Liverpool fans, who made their admiration clear for the current 36-year-old man.
