Liverpool: Fans fume as Jurgen Klopp reveals Reds’ January transfer plans

Many Liverpool fans were left angry as The Times journalist Paul Joyce provided an update on Jurgen Klopp’s transfer plans.
Via Joyce’s Twitter account, the German tactician suggested that it is “unlikely” that any new faces will come through the doors of Anfield in January, despite the Reds’ catastrophic injury crisis in defence.
Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have both been ruled out with long-term knee injuries. Joel Matip has now been sidelined for three weeks, leaving Klopp with no established centre-backs to choose from.
Captain Jordan Henderson and Fabinho both started as the centre-back pairing during their 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Monday night.
Will Liverpool sign a defender in January?
Yes

No

Unsurprisingly, supporters were furious with Klopp’s response, with some suggesting that the season is virtually over already.
Fans raging over Joyce update
“Lack of ambition from the owners once again”
“Then Klopp has failed this team. it’s as simple as that. That being said. I think he says it to hide the fact that something is being done behind closed doors, just like Jota last season. this team needs a Center back or it’s back to the good old “top 4. spot.”
“Top 4 race it is then”
“Absolute joke. Season done”
“Write this season off, we go again next season”
“We will not stay at the top. We will be overtaken. Everyone else is strengthening and we are just sitting and watching. Shameful. No ambition”
