Many Liverpool fans were not happy about a report which indicated that goalkeeper Loris Karius could return to Anfield earlier than originally planned.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan at the German Bundesliga side Union Berlin after falling out of favour at Anfield, where he was pushed down the pecking order when Alisson Becker arrived at the club.
However, Karius is yet to start a league game for Die Eisernen, having only featured once in a DFB Pokal game against Paderborn, where he conceded three goals in a rather forgetful showing (Fotm0b).
As a result, KICKER (via Daily Star) revealed that the red half of Berlin would be happy to let Karius go back to Liverpool.
Should Liverpool sell Loris Karius?
The LFCTransferRoom account tweeted out this news report and it’s fair to say that these fans were not too thrilled about the prospect of a Karius return.
Fans not impressed with Karius update
“What a mess. Just terminate his contract.”
“He’s just not very good!! Maybe should lower his expectations. Sunday morning football!”
“No surprise, Karius is a terrible goalie”
“How long is his contract.. It never ends??”
“He would model our gear well, that’s about it really”
