A number of Liverpool supporters have been waxing lyrical over Harvey Elliott following a brilliant goal in his final appearance for Blackburn Rovers.

It is easy to carried away about a young player, with many fans keen to see fledgling talents make the grade at Anfield.

The reality is that very few make that step up to the first team for the Reds, however, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones in the minority.

Someone who genuinely does look like a special talent at Liverpool is Elliott, with the 18-year-old excelling on loan at Blackburn throughout this season. The teenage forward has caught the eye with his dribbling ability and eye for a pass, finishing the campaign with 11 assists in the Championship.

Elliott found the net on his final appearance for Blackburn on Saturday, dinking a beautiful finish into the net in his team's 5-2 win at home to Birmingham City, with the youngster set to return to Merseyside after his loan spell at Ewood Park.
