Many Liverpool fans let rip at captain Jordan Henderson during the first half of his side's FA Cup Third Round tie against Aston Villa on Friday night.

The Reds made the trip to Birmingham to play a game that was heavily affected by the ongoing pandemic - with the hosts playing a string of youth players as a result of first-team players having to self-isolate.

While Jurgen Klopp's side took an early lead through Sadio Mane, Liverpool's 30-year-old captain failed with multiple efforts to create more chances for his team, failing with several crosses.

Before the affair took place, the England international had scored once all season from 13 Premier League starts, averaging a match rating of 6.95, which is the sixth-highest out of his teammates who have featured in a similar amount of matches (Whoscored).

Considering the calibre of opposition, supporters expected a lot from their skipper at Villa Park, with some highlighting his static play and the fact that he was constantly attempting an unsuccessful cross-field pass.
