A lot of Liverpool fans have been getting excited about the possibility of re-signing Philippe Coutinho this month as the Brazilian’s Barcelona woes continue. However, The Mirror has reported that Jurgen Klopp is taking a hardline stance on the ex-Kop favourite, and he won’t even be considering bringing back his former #10.

Whilst Coutinho was undeniably the best player on Merseyside before he made his eye-watering move to Barcelona in January last year, the Reds are buzzing to see that Klopp is playing hardball over a potential return. Whilst the little magician did so much for the club, the Reds have been a much more fluid side since his departure, and they’d rather keep it that way than bring the 26-year-old creative force back.
Coutinho is now one full year into his Barcelona career, and he’s been unable to convince Ernesto Valverde that he can be effective for the Catalan side as either the left-sided option in their three-pronged attack or as one of those playing deeper in a three-man midfield. The only worry for Liverpool fans is that the Brazilian moves to Manchester United after it’s been made clear that an Anfield return is definitely not on the cards.

Well done jurgen liverpool should be a club players aspire to play for, not a back up.

Spot on and we are a better team without him

Our fans should be thinking the same. He’s gone, he left on bad terms, he’s no longer wanted or needed and let’s face it, he was never good enough for Barca.

Just hope he doesn’t go to the mancs

As good as he is, he he made his choice and absolutely no player is bigger than the club, no loyalty…. Little snake should stay away

We already have Harry Wilson, though…

The Kopites will be eagerly waiting to see where Coutinho leaves Barcelona for, and will be glad that Klopp is standing firm on this one.
