The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that ex-Burnley striker, Danny Ings could be thrown a start in the Merseyside derby tomorrow as Jurgen Klopp’s looks to rotate his eleven ahead of City on Tuesday. Ings has struggled in his time at Liverpool, managing only 19 appearances and three goals since joining Anfield in 2015.
Klopp on Ings: "Thank God Danny is here and in a good shape. I wouldn't guarantee [a start] but his chances don't look too bad."

The Liverpool fans propping our bar up will be going into the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park tomorrow with one eye on the second leg of their Champions League tie with Manchester City on Tuesday. Whilst finishing in the top four is a priority for the club, the gap between themselves in 3rd and Chelsea looks too big for them to miss out on Champions League football and Klopp will want to pour all of his resources into the Champions League as they eye a place in the last four.
Ings is no stranger to a Merseyside derby though, as one of his three goals for the Reds came in the fixture back in October 2015 when he opened the scoring in a 1-1 draw against The Toffees. The fans will be hoping Ings can build on his few Liverpool appearances from the last few weeks as he looks set to play a role tomorrow. The last time the striker donned the shirt was in the club’s 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield when he came off the bench for the last ten minutes. Ings will be hoping he manages more than a substitute appearance tomorrow as he looks to force his name into Klopp’s long-term plans.

The man deserves a chance to shine after all his battles with injury, he's been ready and willing to step in as a sub when required and showed he's capable. Would just luv it if he banged in a couple and shut the "blue-noses" up.
