The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story from MARCA, translated by The Express, that claims Jurgen Klopp is looking at bringing Pepe Reina to play second fiddle to Loris Karius next season. The Spaniard’s contract at Napoli expires this summer and AC Milan although he could favour a return to Liverpool, who he clocked up almost 400 appearances for in his eight-year spell with them.
Would you be happy, Reds..? https://t.co/8yvlU67Mq9

The Liverpool fans propping our bar up would love to see an Anfield return for their former shot-stopper. At the age of 35, the ‘keeper likely only has one contract left in him and it would be the perfect romantic return if he ended up back at the cub that he spent the majority of his career with. Liverpool have suffered from a goalkeeper problem since Reina left the club, with Simon Mignolet not finding his Sunderland form and falling below expectations.
Our local Kopites have been getting behind their young German shot-stopper, Loris Karius as of late. The 24-year-old has been on top of his game and has done more than enough to prevent Mignolet from having a sniff in the first-team. However, Karius still has a mistake in him and if Reina does rejoin the club he could play a mentoring role for Karius as well playing a rotational role behind Karius when he’s required.

Last term we won CL Reina joined the club.

Would love to have Pepe back. In terms of actually playing games he'd probably just be a bit part player BUT his knowledge and experience could be really valuable to the whole defense and goalkeeping team

I'd love it pepe was a world class keeper and never got the credit he deserved. Still… the whole team and manager never did they all suffered from media narrative agendas "zonal marking" etc etc the team was the best in Europe
