Over the weekend, Liverpool may have been dealt a major blow as Mo Salah was seen limping off during international duty for Egypt. However, the Reds have plenty of options off the bench and they’ve been calling for both Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge to start against Huddersfield next Saturday.
If Salah does miss out this weekend, who would you rather see slot in?
Sturridge? Shaqiri? Or find a way to start them both? pic.twitter.com/gBeA6LDacY

Usually Jurgen Klopp lines up with his lethal front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Salah but with Salah now looking like he could miss the clash, it looks like one of Shaqiri or Sturridge will be thrown into the mix, although the fans have been calling for both of the deadly duo to start. The fans will be expecting a win whoever plays and will hope they can hit Huddersfield for a few goals after their 0-0 draw with Man City last time out.
The Reds are currently tied at the top with 20 points and have Chelsea and City to worry about as they look to be for a real test this season. Then, just behind them are Tottenham and Arsenal who are sitting on 18 points, leaving the race for the title and for the top four wide open. It could well come down to goal difference and having players like Sturridge and Shaqiri who can step in from the bench is huge, with the fans wanting them both to feature next Saturday as they aim to put a hatful of goals past a sorry Huddersfield.
You can read the Reds’ calls for Shaqiri and Sturridge to start here:
Shaqiri is the best replacement.. Sturridge is on stellar form but the formation will need to be changed.

Start both of them. Sturridge seems more likely to score goals.Shakiri is sheer power and energy.

The Reds are loving their strength in depth and will be keen to see both Sturridge and Shaqiri at The John Smith stadium.
