Liverpool fans on Twitter aren’t expecting too much in the way of signings this January However, the fans would love to see money spent, and they’ve been having their say on who they should splash out for. A lot of the Kopites urged that the one man they bring in should be the little magician, Philippe Coutinho, despite him only leaving a year ago.
Put yourself in Jurgen Klopp’s shoes…

Coutinho was made one of the most expensive players in the world this time last year when Barcelona forked out an incredible £146 million on the Brazilian and the Reds would love to bring him back to Anfield now. The midfielder has been struggling for game time under Ernesto Valverde as he’s been unable to cement a place in the team in either the club’s three-man attack or three-man midfield.
At the age of just 26-years-old, the Barcelona man will be desperate for game time, and with a massive price tag hanging over his head it’s imperative that he starts living up to what the fans believed they were getting. The creative midfielder made it clear when he was on Merseyside that playing for Barcelona was a dream of his, so it would be a shock to see him leave, but if his game time doesn’t increase then an exit could be on the cards.

Bringing Coutinho back will be the best thing for us… He's what we are missing.

Ruben Neves, Loftus-Cheek, Harry Wilson return, Timo Werner, Isco, Nabil Fekir. Plenty of realistic options and would all be great additions. Oh an if we got offered a return on Coutinho, I’d take that too.

The Reds would love to sign Coutinho and whilst it may not be realistic, it’s one they’d be ecstatic to get over the line.
