Liverpool fans on Twitter don’t see a starting role for Henderson this season

Liverpool have done some magnificent business this transfer window. Jurgen Klopp has ramped up the quality in his midfield, signing Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri who are all being touted to start in the club’s three-man midfield. However, Jordan Henderson has spoken to the Liverpool website claiming there’s competition everywhere and fans think he won’t make the cut.

The Liverpool captain has divided opinion among fans in his time at Anfield. The 28-year-old had a brilliant World Cup with England and was integral to the Three Lions reaching the semi-finals in Russia. However, now he’s returning to his club side it remains to be seen whether or not the ex-Sunderland man will be part of Jurgen Klopp’s strongest eleven in the upcoming season.

Most of the supporters are expecting to see Fabinho and Naby Keita holding down the number 6 and 8 positions in the club’s midfield and when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to fitness he will likely slot into the side as the club’s legs in the middle. This will leave limited opportunities for Hendo and a lot of the fans have been calling for him to leave and claim that he will be on the bench a lot this season.

A lot of Liverpool fans are very anti-Henderson and will be hoping that the midfielder gets moved on from Anfield this summer.
