Yesterday turned out to be a perfect day for the Reds. Not only did Mo Salah score a hat-trick in their 4-0 demolition of Bournemouth to see them, but when Chelsea beat Manchester City in the later kick-off it meant Salah and co would say at the top of the league. However, during their 4-0 win, they weren’t all confident from start to finish and feared the worst when Jordan Henderson came on.
81' Final #LFC change. Bobby makes away for Jordan Henderson.

When the club captain was brought on off the bench, the Reds had just nine minutes of regular time plus whatever was added to get through, and while they managed in and kept a clean sheet, the fans were gutted to see Roberto Firmino making way for the English midfielder. It’s fair to say that Henderson isn’t the most popular man at Anfield, and a lot of fans would much prefer it if he played a smaller role in their side.
Whether you’re a Liverpool fan who loves Henderson or hates him, he is still the Anfield skipper and Jurgen Klopp obviously has a lot of faith in the 28-year-old in his midfield. Over the summer the German gaffer brought in some reinforcements, so Henderson will undoubtedly play a smaller role in the side, but when he’ called upon by Klopp the supporters should do a better job of getting behind him, as opposed to panicking that they may throw away a four-goal lead in less than ten minutes.
You can see what the Reds made of Henderson’s introduction here:

The Kopites really have it out for Henderson and they were seriously worried when Klopp brought him on to see out the match yesterday.
