Liverpool fans on Twitter hardly shocked by Loris Karius debut blunder

Liverpool fans can’t get away from goalkeepers having shockers and Alisson Becker proved that against Leicester City on Saturday. However, it could be worse as their on-loan German shot-stopper, Loris Karius made his debut for Besiktas over the weekend and made a blunder of his own, which you can see on Empire of the Kop here, and the fans are far from surprised.

Karius made a superb stop for his new club in the first half of his debut away at Bursaspor. However, the German went from hero to zero when he left his line late on in the game to claim a cross. One of his defenders in front of him caused confusion and both Karius and the man in front of him were left helpless as ex-West Ham striker, Diafra Sakho wheeled off in celebration.

Whilst it’s hard to solely pin the blame on the young goalkeeper, that’s exactly what a lot of people are doing are the German will always be struggling to get away from his blunders. It’s likely that he’ll never be forgotten for his errors in a Liverpool shirt and if he does eventually return to the Liverpool squad after his two-year loan with the Turkish club then he’ll be desperate to show the fans what he’s capable of.

The fans are keen to see Karius improve in Turkey and will be loving it he can regain some form and return to the club to take his place between the sticks back, however unlikely that may be.
