Liverpool fans on Twitter have been begging for Depay signature

It seems that a lot of Premier League supporting football fans tuned into the game of the day yesterday evening to see Germany take on the Netherlands in Amsterdam, and they weren’t disappointed. Plenty of Liverpool fans had it on, and after the game, they were left calling for Jurgen Klopp to open the chequebook and bring in Memphis Depay.

At the moment, two of the Dutch squad are already a staple of the Anfield starting eleven in the form of Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum, and the Reds would love to make it an Oranje trio by adding the ex-Manchester United star to their ranks. It would certainly be a controversial move, but the stats speak for themselves and the Kopites would all back Memphis to prove himself in England after his horror spell at Old Trafford.

It wouldn’t be an easier transfer to get over the line, and Lyon would definitely be reluctant to let the flashy Dutchman go. However, everyone has their price and Memphis Depay will be no different. Should Liverpool win the Premier League this year they may not splurge again in the summer, but another year of hurt would force Klopp and FSG to go big, and Depay could well be high up on their list.

You can read the Kopites’ calls for Depay here:

The Reds were all sold on Depay after last night and would not be against going big for the Ligue 1 star when the window opens in a few months time.
