The summer window closed yesterday and Liverpool fans have every reason to be delighted with how the months of transfer activity went. Only four new players came into the club, but those four players could be the difference between last season’s 3rd place finish and winning the Premier League this time out.
How would you rate Liverpool’s transfer window out of 10, Reds? pic.twitter.com/Qv1UDWnu1W

Jurgen Klopp has clearly identified the issues in his squad, and whilst he may still be after some players to add some depth to the squad in January and next summer, the real business has been completed now. Naby Keita is the missing spark in the club’s midfield whilst Fabinho and Alisson Becker fill in much-needed roles in defensive midfield and between the sticks for the Anfield club.
The only other addition has been Xherdan Shaqiri, who is arguably the most exciting of the four at the moment. The cheapest of the four new signings. The 26-year-old Swiss attacker the versatility and flair to play anywhere across the club’s front line or in midfield. Most fans were shocked to see that Klopp deployed the ex-Stoke man as a central midfielder during pre-season and if he can play that role in competitive fixtures the way he did in the club’s friendlies, then the Reds have a serious player on their hands.

8, we still need cb, cam & a back up striker (unless Sturridge stays fit)

Missing a Fakir and CB backup.
Don’t get me wrong … our best window in decades

8/10 – a back up centre back and Fekir alternative would have been nice. Euro window not closed yet but the squad could also have been trimmed in areas.

Overdue, two of these players we’ve needed for years. It’s a good window, but it should always be a good window. It’s easy to want to hype this up.

A solid 8…. let down by failure to get an extra CB in

8, pretty good. 10 maybe if we sign Fekir. Still happy tho.

Just from this, it’s clear to see that the supporters are all buzzing for the season with their new signings and it will be a big season for them, with the Premier League title the end goal for the Reds.
