A lot of Liverpool fans on Twitter have been discussing who they should bring in as their new number two to Alisson becker if they are to sell both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, although a lot of fans are of the idea that they shouldn’t sign anyone and they should promote one of their young shot-stoppers.
If we sell both Karius and Mignolet, who should we try to sign to be backup for Alisson? pic.twitter.com/RrDkDp0cuo

Alisson’s signing signals a serious message for Liverpool. The Reds have looked soft at the back for a long time, despite having one of the most devastating attacking forces in the world. However, after paying the record transfer fee for a defender when they signed Virgil van Dijk in January and having now paid the record fee for a goalkeeper in Alisson, Jurgen Klopp is keen to put those accusations of being soft behind the club.
The issue now arises of who should be the club’s number two. Most Liverpool fans are of the belief that they’ll be shipping off both Mignolet and Karius, a move which plenty of Liverpool fans would be delighted with. Normally, having such a young number two would be concerning, but after seeing the way the likes of Kamil Grabara played in the International Champions Cup, it would be no shock if he was to be promoted.
You can read the Kopites’ calls for the youth to be promoted here:
Why not just give Grabara a chance. He's looked plenty good enough to be a number 2 during pre season. Pointless spending money when we have a ready made deputy there.

Nobody, two young lads can learn and be relied on for the future.

No one. Let’s rotate the two young lads seen in pre-season

Keep the young end Granada and Kelleher

No give the youngsters a chance

As you can see, the Reds are all keen to promote the youth and don’t see the need to sign a number two shot-stopper.
