Liverpool have had a dynamic start to the Premier League season. With the title on their minds, a number of fans have been moving to question whether or not Jordan Henderson has a place at the club. The club captain is yet to start a game this season and he’s been talking to the Liverpool website about how hard he’s been working to get back into the starting eleven.
“I’ve got to keep working hard, improve and take my chance when it comes.” https://t.co/rVgdmj6TUG

The Reds have won all five of their opening games for the first time since 1990 and whilst they finished runners-up to Arsenal that year, they’ll be keen to go one step further this time out. That has begged the question of whether or not Jordan Henderson is essential to the current squad. Jurgen Klopp saw Naby Keita and Fabinho join Anfield over the summer and it’s hard to see anything other than Henderson moving down the pecking order.
It also doesn’t help that since the start of the season both James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum have been in undroppable form. Both have notched their first goals of the season and have excelled alongside Naby Keita in the heart of Liverpool’s three-man midfield. When Fabinho is up to speed and ready to start it will only push Henderson further down the list and it starts to become very difficult to see how the club captain will get a game.

The fans have been very vocal about Henderson and a lot of them wouldn’t mind seeing him leave the club in January, although that’s very unlikely.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
