Liverpool fans on Twitter livid over international break as Mane undergoes surgery

The international break has done little for Liverpool. The Reds have been left with a number of key players injured. Both Sadio Mane and Mo Salah suffered knocks, with the former having to undergo surgery on a hand injury that was confirmed on the Liverpool website. With a trip to Huddersfield on Saturday, the Reds are fuming at their club’s injury luck.

Whilst a hand injury is unlikely to keep a football out for long, the last thing that the fans wanted was to see two of their front three suffer knocks and the fact that Mane had to undergo a procedure for his hand issue shows that it was probably quite serious. Huddersfield will probably come too quick for Mane but he’ll be keen to be back in action as soon as possible, especially with games against Red Star Belgrade and Arsenal on the horizon.

Mane is just the latest start to be sent home injured from playing for his country and you could forgive the Reds for being fuming with their rotten luck when it comes to their international stars. Dejan Lovren missed the start of the season because of an injury he was supposedly playing through during the World Cup and then to have both Mane and Salah out, as well as Virgil van Dijk being a doubt, because of their time spent playing for their country is highly frustrating and something that Jurgen Klopp could do without.

The Reds are rightly fuming at their luck with internationals and will hope Mane can make a quick recovery.
