Liverpool fans on Twitter look back to Klavan-inspired Burnley win last season

Tonight provides Jurgen Klopp’s side with a chance to make history, however, winning away at Burnley is never easy. The Reds have struggled away at Turf Moor under Klopp, losing their first trip there under the German 2-0 before requiring a late goal from Ragnar Klavan to clinch all three points last season.

Tonight, a much more mature Liverpool side will be travelling to Turf Moor in the hope of getting three points in a way that their side from last season would never have managed. The current Liverpool side is a different animal, instead of going out and ripping sides apart, providing great entertainment and slipping up here and there, they’re now much more calculated. It’s rare that the Kopites put four or five past teams now, but it’s also very rare that sides beat them.

The added incentive for getting three points tonight is that if they can manage a famous win it will mean the Anfield outfit have made their best ever start to a domestic league season in their history. That record alone will be something to be proud of whether they win silverware or not this season, so the fans have been looking back to Klavan’s late Turf Moor winner for inspiration ahead of what promises to be a tough clash against Sean Dyche’s Burnley.

The Kopites have got full faith in Klopp’s men getting the win tonight, even though they’ll have to go into the game without Klavan.
