Liverpool fans have been waiting and waiting and waiting to see the best of their expensive midfield man Naby Keita, and yesterday they got just that. The Guinean midfielder was at his very best and looked dangerous every time he picked the ball up in the middle of the park, finally showing what he can really do.

Yesterday felt a lot like the midfielder was finally announcing himself on Merseyside, and the fans are all of the opinion that it’s better late than never for the ex-RB Leipzig man. However, no one is doubting that yesterday was Keita’s best display as a Liverpool player, and it was apt that it came on a special day for him, as he also celebrated his 24th birthday with the win.
The next step for Keita is to start adding goals and assists from a deeper position for this Liverpool side. No one is expecting him to be grabbing the headlines and scoring 20-goals a season like those ahead of him. However, if he carries on playing the way he did yesterday then end product will be something that comes naturally between now and the end of the season.
