Liverpool fans on Twitter ready to smash club record with a win tonight

If Jurgen Klopp can get a win tonight against a struggling Burnley side at Turf Moor then he’ll become a record-breaking Liverpool manager. A win tonight will mean the Kopites have made their best ever start to a league season in their history, and that’s the sort of stat that the fans want Klopp to be chasing. However, Turf Moor is never an easy place to go.

The Reds have dropped just six points all season. In 14 games they’ve won 11 and drawn three and despite being on the brink of making their best ever start to a league campaign, they still find themselves sitting five points behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, although a win tonight will make that just a two-point gap. However, tonight’s clash isn’t about catching Manchester City as such, it’s about making the current crop of Reds record breakers.

It’s no secret that Liverpool have become an absolute powerhouse in European football. The Anfield outfit have got the best defensive record of any team in Europe’s top five leagues having shipped just five goals in the Premier League this season, and if they can keep out 19th placed Burnley and grab a famous win then the fans will have something to remember this season, whether they win any silverware or not.
