Liverpool fans on Twitter slate their side after woeful Stadio San Paulo display

Last night brought us yet another thrilling evening of Champions League football. Liverpool continued what has been the toughest spell of their season so far with a trip to Napoli and it’s fair to say that the Reds had an off day, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat courtesy of a late Lorenzo Insigne goal.
Goal. #Napoli.

Jurgen Klopp put out what many fans believed was his strongest possible team for the clash at the Stadio San Paulo and despite the fact they ost Naby Keita to injury in the first 20 minutes, the fans still expected their side to give it a go and get something from the game. It simply wasn’t to be, though, and they fell to defeat against Carlo Ancelotti’s side to leave Napoli in control of the group with six points from two games.
Liverpool will be able to take hope from the fact that the next two games they play will be against Red Star Belgrade whilst PSG and Napoli face off twice. If The Reds get two wins against their Serbian opponents whilst both PSG or Napoli are dropping points then they’ll be well placed to qualify for the knockout stages from their tough group. However, they’ll have to play much better than they did last night to do that.

Deserved. Embarrassing performance. Something has not been right at all this season. At all.

The Reds will be desperate to get back on track when they ace Red Star Belgrade in a couple of weeks time and will try to ensure they put in a much better display than the one that they did yesterday.
