Liverpool fans will be feeling slightly nervy this morning. Despite the fact they once had a seven-point gap over 2nd place Manchester City in the title race, they’re now only three points clear of the champions. That could have been five, but they fell to a 1-1 draw at West Ham last night, and when Divock Origi came on in the second half the fans fumed.
74' – Another substitution for the Reds, as Origi replaces Firmino.

Despite Origi’s late, late winner against Everton, the Reds have no faith in the Belgian. His hold-up play is poor, he fails to bring his teammates into the game and when the pressure is on he often buckles under it. Last night was no different, as in his 15 minutes on the pitch he missed a quality chance to grab a winner as his side fell to a 1-1 draw, increasing the already almighty pressure that they’re under.
In contrast to Klopp bringing Origi off the bench, on Sunday when Pep Guardiola looked to replace his hat-trick hero Aguero vs Arsenal, he could call upon Brazilian starlet Gabriel Jesus. Klopp just doesn’t have that firepower from the bench, and the Reds are already starting to show signs of crumbling under the weight of expectation from the fans, and it doesn’t help them when they have to watch Origi bumbling about looking for match-winning goals.
You can read the Kopites’ angry comments when Origi came on here:
Is this the day we realize we’re not strong enough mentally to win a league?

Man City bring Aguero off for Brazil’s prodigy Jesus
We bring firmino off for Origi. Lol no offence but it’s not even nearly in the same league is it. Man City have an unreal squad.

I think we’re out of miracles lad after that Everton game.

City bring on Jesus or Sane. We bring on Origi. Sums it up for me. Tired legs and even more tired ideas.

Bad decision again. Take Kieta off

Klopp is just useless

Kiss goodbye the league title

Oh wow. Another match winner. We have bottled it yet again

The Kopites were far from happy when they saw Origi coming on and for a lot of them their title hopes ended last night.
