Liverpool fans on Twitter weren’t impressed with Fabinho on Saturday

On Saturday evening, the third of the three live Premier League games saw Arsenal hosting Liverpool at Anfield. Before the game, the fans were delighted to see that Fabinho had kept his place in the side, although they soon wished he’d not started given his level of performance.
52' Fabinho booked – foul on Torreira. Mustafi heads wide from the resulting free-kick.

The Brazilian midfielder looked well off the pace yesterday and alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, he came in for criticism from his own fans. There’s no way he was going to sign for Liverpool and never have a bad game, but the fans would have hoped his bad games wouldn’t come against some of their top six rivals. In the end, the result wasn’t affected by Fabinho’s lacking display and The Reds took a point home, but they’ll be keen to see him bounce back.
The next game for Liverpool comes in the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp’s side will be travelling to face Red Star Belgrade away in the week and after his Saturday showing, Fabinho may find himself benched for that clash. The club has a plethora of midfielders, providing Klopp with the luxury of rotation and the ability to drop someone if they have an off day, which could well see him decide to give Fabinho a break ahead of their next domestic clash against Fulham next Sunday.

The Kopites were far from pleased with Fabinho and would have liked to have seen him hooked when things started going wrong.
