Liverpool: Fans react as Fabrizio Romano provides transfer update - Liverpool

Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to an update provided by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on social media.

Segments of the Kop faithful have been urging manager Jurgen Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards to sign a centre-back this month – on the back of serious injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

Can you beat the Anfield 100 appearances quiz? First up, which Liverpool player was the last to reach 100 league games before Trent Alexander-Arnold did it this season?

Klopp previously confirmed that the Premier League champions have no intention of signing a defender this window, despite continued fitness concerns with Joel Matip.

Romano elaborated on this (cited by Anfield Edition) by suggesting that players are not keen on the idea of an Anfield move – due to the fact that there is an intense battle for places in Klopp’s starting lineup.

Do you think Liverpool will sign a new centre-back during this January window?

Because of this, supporters believed players should only be brought to the club who want to be there, and those who possess the correct positive mindset to compete.
