Can you beat the Anfield 100 appearances quiz? First up, which Liverpool player was the last to reach 100 league games before Trent Alexander-Arnold did it this season?

The report added that Manchester United and Manchester City are also keeping close tabs, while Chelsea have been ruled out of the running.

Liverpool will of course be looking for defensive reinforcements next month after Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez were both ruled out for the foreseeable future due to serious knee injuries.

Since his introduction to the first-team of the Bavarian giants in 2010, Alaba has had a hugely successful career in Germany, scoring 32 goals and providing 49 assists in 404 appearances (TransferMarkt).

Would you bring David Alaba to Liverpool in January?

With this in mind, supporters were excited about the prospect of Alaba moving to Anfield, urging the Anfield club to get the deal done.
