Liverpool: Fans remember memorable Od Trafford victory

Liverpool fans were remembering their famous 4-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford back in 2009.

Cristiano Ronaldo had given United the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first-half, however, Liverpool took control of the game with goals from Fernando Torres and, a penalty of their own from Steven Gerrard.

The victory was made even easier when Nemanja Vidic was sent off in the 76th minute with the score 2-1. Second-half goals from Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena completed what was a brilliant victory for the Reds (via BBC).

Liverpool recent record at Old Trafford hasn’t been the best with Jurgen Klopp still waiting for his first victory as manager of the Reds at the famous ground (via This is Anfield).

After watching a clip of the 4-1 victory over their fierce rivals, fans reminisced over the game as they took to Twitter to react.
