Liverpool: Fans showed their love for Sami Hyypia on his 46th birthday

Former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia celebrated his 46th birthday on Monday.
Will Liverpool win the Premier League title this season?
Yes

No

The Finn was something of a legend at Anfield, and was an ever-present at centre-back as he represented the Reds for 10 years between 1999-2009. In total he made 464 appearances for the club during his stay, scoring 35 goals (via Transfermarkt).
He also helped Liverpool win a whole host of silverware. Indeed, whilst he was at the Merseyside club they won several domestic trophies including two FA Cups, two League Cups and two Community Shields.
However, perhaps more memorably he was also a key player as they won continental trophies, including the UEFA Cup in 2000/01 and of course the UEFA Champions League in 2004/05.
After leaving in 2009 he joined Bayer Leverkusen for two years before retiring. He then went into management in 2012, first taking charge at Leverkusen before also having stints at Brighton & Hove Albion and FC Zurich.
It is fair to say that Hyypia is fondly remembered by Liverpool fans after such a long, and successful spell at Anfield. So it came as no surprise when the club posted on their official Twitter account to wish their former player happy birthday.
In response, several Reds supporters also sent their best wishes to the player whilst also reminiscing about the days when he was marshalling their defence. Here is what some of them had to say…
