Liverpool fans take to Twitter in fear of star man’s absence for Bayern away day

Tonight witnesses one of the biggest clashes of the Champions League round of 16 ties. Liverpool will be hosting Bayern Munich and it’s a game that has a lot riding on it. Jurgen Klopp’s side will be desperate to take a lead back to Munich yet with Andrew Robertson one booking away from missing the second leg the fans will be watching on nervously.

Andrew Robertson isn’t the only man who could be set to miss the next leg. For the visitors, the young sensation Joshua Kimmich could find himself sitting out when the tie takes to the Allianz Arena as he finds himself in the same boat as Robertson. The cover that the Germans have for Kimmich is far better than the cover that Klopp has for his star left-back though.

When Robertson is unavailable the next in line at Anfield is Alberto Moreno. The Spaniard has had more than a couple of shockers in his time at Anfield and the idea of him starting against a player like Kingsley Coman or Serge Gnaby is enough to send shivers down Liverpool fan’s spines. Hopefully, the Reds can avoid Robertson being booked and he’ll make it back for the return leg, but nothing is guaranteed in football.

You can read the Kopites’ thoughts on the Robertson situation here:

The Reds hate the idea of travelling to Munich with Moreno at the back and will be livid if Robertson picks up a cheap booking tonight.
