With Liverpool fans preparing for their Anfield clash with Burnley this weekend, it would only be right to look back at previous wins and hero’s who have shone against the Clarets. One of those stars, who is impossible to forget as a Kopite, is the ever-loved on Merseyside Ragnar Klavan, who bagged a famous winner against Sean Dyche’s side in 2018.

The Reds will always love looking back on that famous game at Turf Moor. The game fell on the very first day of 2018 and was played just days after the news was broken that Virgil van Dijk would be joining the club. However, it wasn’t the £75 million man’s name on the fans lips but instead the name Ragnar Klavan, a £4.2 million coup from Augsburg, who gave the Reds all three points.
If there is to be another hero this weekend with a very late goal, like Klavan’s 94th-minute equaliser, the fans will be betting on it being a strike from one of the trio of Sadio Mane, Mo Salah or Roberto Firmino. However, the difference is that when Klavan did score that goal he gained himself Anfield hero status and went down as a cult hero with the supporters.

The Reds love those memories of Klavan’s winner against Burnley and will want a similarly dramatic winner this weekend against the Clarets.
