The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments from Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final second leg tie with Roma on Wednesday. The 19-year-old star, whilst speaking for the Liverpool website, claimed that the Reds need to follow the same blueprint that saw them advance past Manchester City at the Etihad in the quarter-finals.
“They need to score goals to get through, the same as City. We passed the City test and hopefully we pass the test on Wednesday.”@trentaa98 on following the Etihad blueprint in Rome https://t.co/j6nrYxIML1 pic.twitter.com/s2nh9ZwEZ0

Alexander-Arnold has been thrown in at the deep end at an early stage of his Liverpool career. The 19-year-old has made eight appearances in the Champions League in the absence of the Kopites regular right-back, Nathaniel Clyne. Despite this, the youngster has looked in his element and has learned to swim as opposed to sinking after being thrown into the first team at such a crucial stage in the season.
The youngster could be rewarded for his incredible form with a Champions league medal at the end of the season as Jurgen Klopp’s side sit just two games away from lifting old big ears, 13 years after the club last won the trophy in 2005. Alexander-Arnold scored his first Champions League goal of his career in the club’s 7-0 win over Maribor in the group stages and was recently named as man of the match for his display at The Etihad in the club’s 2-1 win that volleyed them into the Champions League’s last four.

Not exactly friend… Rome will come at you and Lov with all forces… They will hassle all of you with all they have unlike City where their players are already very well off and had a trophy in the bag…

Concentration and attack them

don't be complacent .. lets focus, no use having extra confidence but doing nothing on the pitch .. also we have no depth in squad, so we cant afford any injuries .. plus we need 75 points in PL to guarantee champs league next year #YNWA
