A lot of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after watching their friendly against Tranmere last night with one simple message. Sell Divock Origi. The Belgian striker spent last season on-loan at Wolfsburg but he failed to have any real impact on the Bundesliga or convince Liverpool fans to keep him at the club.
For a hopeful 23-year-old striker who has the raw attributes to become a top striker, a loan move to the Bundesliga seemed perfect. The standard of clubs is a lot lower than that of the Premier League other than the likes of Bayern Munch and Borussia Dortmund, however, Origi failed to make his mark in his year in Germany and he only managed to score six Bundesliga goals in his 31 appearances in the division.
The more forgiving and optimistic Liverpool fans will put that season down as a blip and try to move on quickly, giving the Belgian forward another chance at Anfield. Whilst that might be a nice idea, Origi has now failed to score in two pre-season games against Chester and Tranmere, despite the fact that Liverpool have scored ten goals in those two games. The writing seems to be on the wall for Origi and it looks like Jurgen Klopp will have to move him on and bring in a more prolific option.

Watching Liverpool here and I've never seen a player to take as long to release a ball as divock origi. Hasnt got any better. Would be a nightmare to play up top with. Sell

The second half was terrible. I hope LFC sell Karius, Sturridge, and origi. If you want the title you have to have a super GK & Super Subs.

Sell Origi and keep Studge for Fa Cup and English Cup games

Origi is the same Origi that left, not good enough, time to sell. Ings will go, so we’re going to need more than just Shaqiri as a forward option.

Sturridge & Ings & Solanke & Origi = 0000 not good enough , we should sell them

It seems pretty nailed on that Origi will be sold this summer from these Liverpool fans’ tweets, and it’s with god reason as the 23-year-old simply isn’t good enough.
