Liverpool misfit Christian Benteke has stated that he wants to stay at the club beyond this summer, despite not appearing to be in favour under boss Jurgen Klopp and claims that he didn’t sign for just one year.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the ex-Aston Villa striker has outlined his intentions to stay at the club stating that he believes the German manager can improve him as a player if he stick with the Reds.
The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been frustrated with Benteke’s form this season and are expecting club’s to attempt to sign him during the summer, with interest thought to be high in Benteke.
The 25-year-old netted a late equaliser for the Reds in Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea and there is clearly a good player hidden somewhere in the powerful Belgian striker.
The £32.5 million man wants to fight for his place and now it remains to be seen whether or not he will get the chance to prove his worth to Jurgen Klopp during next season.
Liverpool fans, Christian Benteke: Should he stay or should he go? Would you welcome the news that he is staying at the club?
