Liverpool Echo have managed to get the attention of all the Reds fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern after they claimed that the club’s new signing, forward Danny Ings, is elated to be at the club.
Ings made the move from relegated Burnley, and has called it ‘something words cannot describe’ and has made it clear to the fans that he will work to get into the first team – not something we can really imagine he will have too many problems doing given the state of Liverpool’s forward line last term – and make sure that he scores goals for the club.
The player claimed: ‘It’s a challenge I’m looking forward to, I’d never get complacent with anything like that.
‘Now I’ve got that move I’ll try to work even harder and try to get into that team.’
We think Ings will be a good signing for Brendan Rodgers and his side, although quite if he will be the player the club are hoping will take them into the top four of the league and even help them try and challenge for the title, remains to be seen.
Liverpool fans. How well do you think Ings will do this season? Is he the forward you need or is he just someone who will be a bench warmer once again? Let bus know your thoughts below.
