Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has worked wonders in Europe so far this season as they remain on course for the Champions League trophy, with many of our local Liverpudlians dreaming of an Istanbul repeat. And, it looks as if Liverpool are shaping up nicely for the all-important final, as according to the Express’ pre-match team news, James Milner, Emre Can and Adam Lallana are training and fit to play if called upon.
Liverpool will need all the firepower at their disposal to overcome the challenges of defending world champions Real Madrid, as the Spanish giants have been one of the dominant forces in this season’s competition.
Although, the Reds can turn to one of their most influential midfield figures if they need to, as Emre Can is training and fit to play after providing a fitness worry earlier on this month.
Similarly, Adam Lallana is also back in the fold for today’s final as he is also training and fit to play, so Jurgen Klopp will be spoilt for choice in arguably the biggest match in the club’s recent history.
Lastly, James Milner is the third player training and fit to play after becoming a doubt for the Champions League final, with many of our local Liverpudlians absolutely delighted about this news.
Emre Can has been outstanding for Liverpool this season as one of the most promising central midfielders in world football, having helped the Reds progress earlier on in the competition. And, Adam Lallana may be able to have a huge impact off the substitutes’ bench, as he will provide an injection of pace that could cause Madrid some problems. Lastly, James Milner has been one of the standout performers in the Reds’ campaign, so they’ll be desperate to get him into the side.
