Liverpool will feel disappointed that they weren’t able to secure all three points against Leicester City last night, as they failed to extend their lead over Manchester City to seven points.
The Reds still remain in a promising position in the race for the title, especially after Manchester City’s shock defeat against Newcastle United. And, it appears as if the Merseyside club are still looking to strengthen, as according to Sport (via Metro), Liverpool have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain about signing Adrien Rabiot.
It’s understood that Liverpool have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain about signing Adrien Rabiot before the close of transfer window.
Indeed, it has been claimed that the French club want to offload the 23-year-old this month rather than lose the midfielder for nothing in the summer, which has prompted Liverpool and Spurs to get in touch over a January deal.
Although, the Frenchman has little interest in moving this month, so it may be hard to secure a deal.
Of course, the Reds already have the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Georginio Wijnaldum in the middle of midfield, so missing out on him this month wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Adrien Rabiot, who is valued at £45 million (by Transfermarkt), is arguably one of the most promising midfielders in the whole of world football, with a potential deal boosting the Reds’ title bid massively.
Although, with the Frenchman having little interest in moving this month, it remains to be seen as to whether Liverpool will be able to pull off a late deal.
