Liverpool came out of the latest Merseyside derby with the three points as a late Divock Origi goal saw off rivals Everton at Anfield.
The Reds looked to be heading to a frustrating 0-0 draw, but a Jordan Pickford error gifted the points to the home side in a mad ending to the game.
However, despite the three points, Liverpool looked woefully short of any sort of midfield creativity, and the sale of Philippe Coutinho now looks to be something which Liverpool haven’t quite got over.
There is hope though, and there are players out there who can the void so to speak, and we here at the Tavern think signing Bournemouth and Wales star David Brooks could be a shrewd move by the Reds in the future transfer windows coming up.
Brooks is proving himself to be a superb talent in the top flight following his summer move from Sheffield United, and there is no end to what he can achieve in the game if he continues to develop as he is at the moment.
The Welsh star is a classy operator on the ball and can only get better with a move to a club challening for honour as many expect Liverpool to be.
He will cost the big money now, but Liverpool should not worry about that, and adding Brooks to the squad will give them a player who’s ready made for the now, as well as someone who can go on to improve and add even more value to his name in the coming seasons.
Liverpool fans., what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
