West Ham United fans are looking unimpressed to say the very least at the latest claim coming from Metro.
The publication note that current loan signing Alex Song is a major target for Liverpool and the Reds are actually closing in on the Barcelona man.
The former Arsenal man has impressed since getting a regular run in the Hammers’ side and now after attracting Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers’ interest, the idea is to get Barcelona to recall the player come January and then allow the Reds to swoop in and buy him.
As one of our punters notes over a beer and burger combo from our landlord, Barcelona were desperate to sell Song come last summer. For the right money – thought to be around £10 million – Luis Enrique’s club would still be keen to do so.
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is keen on taking Song to Upton Park on a permanent deal but our punters think that the Cameroon international would prefer a move to Anfield for Champions League football.
Liverpool fans. Just how good a signing would Song be for you? West Ham fans. What on earth would you think if Song joined Liverpool midway through his proposed season-long loan spell? Let us know your thoughts below.
