Liverpool icon admits uncertainty over his future at Anfield

toureee7Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are discussing what the future holds for one of their fan-favourites, after they admitted uncertainty around their future.

The Liverpool Echo quotes Ivorian defender Kolo Toure as being unsure if he will be handed a new contract at Liverpool, with the veteran’s current deal set to expire next month.

Formerly of Arsenal and Manchester City, Toure could leave the Premier League this summer if Liverpool do not offer him fresh terms and the veteran admitted after Wednesday’s defeat to Sevilla that he wasn’t sure what the future holds.

“I don’t know (about my future) to be honest. We will see what will happen and you will have to ask that question to the manager.”

“Of course I want to stay. It’s a great club to play in, but the manager has his plan and any decision I will respect. He is a top manager and he knows what he is doing.”

“I am just enjoying my time in this club – a fantastic club and fantastic supporters.”

Our landlord believes that whilst Toure may be past his best, he still has a lot to offer and the younger defenders can learn a lot from him.
