Liverpool identify two targets to replace Mignolet

Mignolet needs to have a blinder Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have expressed their delights at reports that indicate Jurgen Klopp is looking to replace Simon Mignolet between the sticks at Anfield.

27-year-old Belgian international Mignolet joined the Reds in 2013 for a £5m fee but has been heavily criticised during his time at Anfield. Calcio Mercato state Klopp will stick with his current stopper until the end of the season but will make changes next summer.

They indicate that Klopp has identified two big targets for Liverpool, both from the Bundesliga, in the form of Mainz’ Loris Karius and Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno; both of whom are highly-rated and touted as potential successors to Manuel Neuer in the German national team.

Of the two Karius is more likely to be prized from the German outfit’s clutches, whilst Leno could move but has been mentioned as a potential recruit for Real Madrid. Still, our regulars state they’d be happy with their of these two stoppers.
