Leeds United fans will be hoping to see a new striker arrive at the club this summer, and Cristiano Ronaldo's £99.2 million move to Juventus could set off a chain reaction of events which results in Dominic Solanke's arrival at Elland Road

With Cristiano Ronaldo officially a Juventus player, a whole host of new rumours are likely to emerge in the coming weeks as some of Europe's top players line up a move to Real Madrid.

However, the immediate effect of Ronaldo's arrival in Turin concerns Paulo Dybala – a player who has been Juventus' golden boy since he signed from Palermo in 2015.

Although Juventus will be hoping to find a way of accommodating both Ronaldo and Dybala within the same system, the Argentine ace could be tempted to embark on a new challenge this summer with Liverpool reportedly expected to table a huge bid shortly.

According to TyC Sports, Liverpool are prepared to mount a bid worth £80 million for his signature, which still may not be enough to prise him away from the Italian giants.

But if Liverpool are eventually successful in their pursuit, his arrival would almost certainly force Dominic Solanke to leave the club, opening the door for a loan move to Leeds United.

Solanke's opportunities were restircted by Firmino's form at the spearhead of Liverpool's attack last season, so adding Dybala to the equation is bound to push him further down the pecking order.

With Leeds clearly in need of a striker and hoping to mount a promotion charge next season, signing a player of Premier League quality, such as Solanke, would represent a marvellous piece of business for the club.

Bielsa's expertise and reputation should be more than enough to convince Jurgen Klopp that Solanke's development would be well served at Elland Road next season, so Leeds could eventually be beneficiaries in the chain of events which Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus could well instigate.
