Liverpool find themselves leading the way in the race for the Premier League title, having defied expectations up until this point in the current campaign.
The Reds have gone up a couple of levels this season after losing out in the Champions League final last year, with an elusive piece of silverware creeping closer. And, it appears as if the Merseyside club are eyeing a possible addition, as according to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are set to go head-to-head with Man United for Romello Mitchell.
Indeed, the 16-year-old was on target for Birmingham’s Under-16’s recently, with scouts from Manchester United and Liverpool running the rule over the impressive attacker.
It’s thought that he caught the Reds’ attention by scoring a double in the U16’s Blades Cup final when they beat Liverpool 8-4. And, Mitchell also managed to impress against United in the semi-final.
Liverpool have a good track record of transforming young talents into stars at Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp being the perfect manager to bring the best out them, so a move to Anfield seems like the best option.
Romello Mitchell has all the ingredients to become a future star.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez have established themselves as regulars at Liverpool over the past season or so, so the door is open for Mitchell to enjoy his breakthrough at Anfield in years to come if he continues to develop and decides to move to Merseyside.Like what the TT have on offer?
