Liverpool may already have a deadly attacking department in the first-team, as well as a crop of rising stars in the club’s academy, however, you can not ever have too many, can you?
Well, that’s what it would appear to be if a rumour about one of Jurgen Klopp’s latest transfer targets is anything to go by.
What’s the News?
According to a report by Le Parisian, Liverpool are understood to be interested in Silas Wamangituka.
The 19-year-old has impressed for Paris FC in Ligue 2 this season as he has managed to find the back of the net seven times in his 23 appearances.
Liverpool are not the only European giant understood to have become interested in the forward, with Barcelona also thought to be tracking the exciting prospect.
With the likes of Bobby Duncan, Paul Glatzel and Rhian Brewster already at the club’s academy, Liverpool already appear to have a bright future in terms of young talented strikers.
However, Wamangituka could be an excellent addition to those ranks as he has clearly shown that he has plenty of potential to play at a high standard.
The teenager is very good technically, can protect the ball extremely well and has the ability go past his defender with ease, and with the right development, there is no reason as to why he can not improve on those traits and become better in other areas of his game.
He has already shown that he has the ability to find the back of the net on a rather consistent basis and going by his attitude, it looks as though he is dedicated to becoming the best he can be as he has set a goal to finish the current campaign with more than ten goals.
Wamangituka must clearly have something that scouts like, as clubs like Barcelona and Liverpool would not necessarily look for young players that they do not feel could have a future with them.
