After missing out on one of his top targets this summer in the form of Henrikh Mkhitaryan it now seems that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to make a bid for Xherdan Shaqiri, according to Metro.
The Bayern Munich winger has struggled to make an impression on the German side and is thought to be ready to ask for a move when he meets with new manager Pep Guardiola this week.
Quite what the former Barcelona manager thinks of the player remains to be seen but Brendan Rodgers is tracking the player and is hopeful that the 21-year-old will ask for a move and allow him to make an offer at a bargain price.
The Liverpool manager is well aware that players need to be brought into the club and after missing out on several targets not to mention seeing Luis Suarez ask to leave the club time and time again, it now seems time is running out and in order for the side to bring in even more new faces they need to get into the top four next season, Rodgers will have to get moving and fast.
