There are some interesting suggestions in the Football Transfer Tavern this evening as Mail Online report to punters that Liverpool are the latest side to show an interest in Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette.
Reports in France suggest that the Reds have joined Arsenal and Newcastle United in keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, who has netted 17 times for the Ligue 1 side this season.
The young forward, who is the fourth highest scorer in the division, has since suggested he would consider a move away from the Stade Gerland if the right offer came along.
“I’m tempted to try and experience life abroad,” Lacazette is quoted as saying to French sources.
“Are Arsenal and Liverpool interested? An experience in another major league fascinates me.”
While his contract with Lyon lasts until 2016, the club could be ready to cash-in on their talented striker at the end of the season.
They will be hoping for a bidding war to see his price increased with Lyon facing some financial problems. With Champions League football returning to Anfield next season, Brendan Rodgers will be chasing a different calibre of player with Lacazette a suitable target.
Liverpool fans. Is Lacazette a player you would like to see arriving at Anfield this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
