It is a busy day for Liverpool fans here at the Football Transfer Tavern and given the claim from Inside Futbol that one of their summer targets is prepared for a summer move.
FC Twente player Nacer Chadli has admitted he is set to leave the club and is being chased by a host of sides including Borussia Dortmund, Italian champions Juventus and also Premier League side Liverpool meaning the 23-year-old Belgian international is not short of offers.
The young star has claimed that due to the failure of his current side to qualify for European football next season after losing their play off, he will seek a move to a bigger club and Twente are supportive of this looking to cash in on the player. He claimed that: “I have not had a concrete offer so for now I will stay at Twente.
“I do not know what the club want and also that plays into my considerations.
“You want to get European football every year and it is not good for us that it did not work.”
Should Liverpool make a move for the player they will also have to fight off competition from Ajax and whilst a massive fee may not be required, playing week in, week out certainly is with the player mindful of the 2014 World Cup.
